Requirements for pipe cap splicing welds
Weld direction is only allowed to be radial and circumferential. This requirement may be removed for larger caps in the future. The splicing distance should be greater than 3δ and not less than 100mm (the weld heat affected zone is a high stress zone, and there will be burning loss of chemical composition in this zone. After splicing molding head, splicing weld should be 99% ray or ultrasonic detection, qualified level with the equipment shell. The final forming welding joint detection level, proportion and equipment shell is the same, high waste. Example: if the equipment housing is 20% tested, III qualified. The closed splicing weld and the final weld are also III qualified, and the welding joint coefficient is 0.85;
If the equipment housing is 99% tested, II is qualified. The bulkhead splicing weld and the final weld are also II qualified, and the welding joint coefficient is 1
