 I'm sure many of you shudder when you first hear the term "tube cap."  What the hell is a pipe cap?  What does it look like?  What is it for?  But this cap is all too common to a mechanic.  In fact, ah, tube cap is also called plug, cover, tube cover, head, these names are good to let a person understand.  It is a pipe fitting welded to the pipe end or mounted on the outer thread of the pipe end to cover and block the pipe.  Used to seal the pipeline, the function is the same as pipe blocking.

 There are about 17 kinds of pipe caps according to the pressure grade, which are the same according to the standard pressure grade of the customer, including Sch5s, Sch10s, Sch10, Sch20, Sch30, Sch40s, STD, Sch40, Sch60, Sch80s and XS.  Sch80, SCH100, Sch120, Sch140, Sch160, XXS  STD and XS are commonly used.  The pipe cap is not very common in industrial buildings. The necessary pipe cap is only used at the pipe end of the pipe for sealing the pipe, which is basically the same as the blind plate, that is, the blind plate can be removed when installed, but the pipe cap can not be removed.
